DC

Hey guys
We made it to the Nations Capital Friday (15-7-12) Washington DC.
The drive through town reminded Sam & Jenna of London. A lot of really beautiful old buildings & History here.We checked into our hotel Marriott about 10 min taxi ride from the Smithsonian National Mall. After a good night sleep we got up the next morning and made our way to the museum of Natural History.
The Smithsonian Mall runs between the Washington Monument and the US Capitol building. In this area you have over 8 museums, which are all free to enter. After we looked around the museum we went to the Air and space museum. This was really cool as we got to go inside space shuttles and planes. It even had one of the original planes from Amelia Earhart and also the Wright Brothers first plane they have ever flew. After that we went to the Holocaust museum, which was an eye opener.
The next day we went to the International Spy Museum and discovered how to become a mysterious spy. We then made our way to the Washington Monument where we all attempted to hire bikes. Unfortunately Sarah and Myself could not hire any as the machine broke on us so Sam and Jenna had to ride on their own. With Sam and Jenna on the bikes and Sarah and Myself walking we then made our way past the Monument and over to the Reflection pool and then to the Lincoln Memorial. We then went over to the White house where unfortunately we did not see President Obama so we just had to settle with Sam Obama.
Overall DC was really awesome and it was great to see all the famous landmarks firsthand rather than just on TV.
