NYC

Hey Guys
Sorry for the late post have been really busy.
New York City was amazing. We stayed at a hotel that was a short walking distance from Times Square and Central Park. We did so much stuff here starting with a Baseball game between Yankees and Blue Jays. The games are so much fun and by the end of it we all wanted to go to another. Sam managed to get a ball off a Blue Jays player after his already failed attempt at catching one that flew right over his head and went through his hands into someone else’s.
The next day we went over to Liberty Island to see the Statue of Liberty. Was so amazing to see her up close but the day was so hot that after we had taken the mandatory photos we spent a lot of time in the shade with some nice cold drinks and then back onto the ferry and back to the city so the girls could do some more shopping in nice cold air conditioning. Shopping is so good in New York and we could have spent our selves broke.

The next night we went to see the Lion King on Broadway. The show was so good and we were singing along to all the songs.

On the Friday night we decided to split up and Sam and Jenna went off on their own and Nathan and I went on our own little date. It started with a not so good dinner at a steak restaurant. The food was absolutely terrible. Nathan asked for a medium rare steak but I think they forgot about the medium part as the steak came out mooing. We then proceeded on a romantic walk to Central park where we were going to go on a Carriage ride but unfortunately started to pour down so we ended up back at our hotel. Nathan was extremely upset that our date didn’t go to plan and I thought that was a little weird for him to care so much. But I found out what he was up to the next day.

The Saturday (21st July) was a beautiful sunny day and we went over to Times Square where there were some markets on. After looking around for a while Nathan took me to see Wicked on Broadway, which I had really wanted to see. It was heaps of fun. We then decided to go for a walk into Central Park as it was such a beautiful day. Nathan kept suggesting that we go on carriage rides and boat rides near the boat house and I was like “nah its alright, I can’t be bothered” so we ended up sitting on a rock near the boat house in Central Park, which I was adamant in finding cause I saw it on 27 dresses. As we were sitting there Nathan totally surprised me by whipping out a beautiful ring and asking me to marry him. So the correct response from me should have been yes straight away but it went something like this,

Sarah: “where did you get that” (I thought he found it on the ground)
Nathan: “Will you marry me”
Sarah: “Your bull shitting me, are you serious, are you sure you want to marry me, I am a bitch”
Nathan: “ You still haven’t said yes”
Sarah: “ Yes of course I will”
And they lived happily ever after. The End.
Well we will see

On Sunday we made our way to Brooklyn where we had heard there was some good shopping. Was a little quieter than the city and had more of a trendy vibe. Found some awesome shops and had some lunch and then we went to some vintage markets on the water.
