MIAMI

We rode around south beach today after hiring some very cool push bikes ( baskets and all! ). We fueled up on water as the sweat was pouring out of us like crazy! Cruised along the beach walkway and across the bridge near the marina, we then decided to ride along the boardwalk ( no bikes allowed! Very dissapointed! So we took a detour into the city and dodged the crazy Miami drivers until after it had been about 3 hours we decided it was time to go jump in the pool and get some well deserved relaxation time..Miami is definitely like on the movies, for example women in g-string bikinis ( some who definitely should be wearing them and those that definitely should not be! ) , ethnic men in small European swimming trunks, people tanned like leather, people driving fancy cars and wearing teeny-weeny bikinis and very very high heels! But the award for today's people watching goes to a 60+ year old gentleman who we saw wearing a a borat style ( I use that loosely as this attire was basically a sock over the penis with string over the shoulders????) swimming outfit whilst strolling down the beach !!! We turned our bikes around for a second look just to check that we were not hallucinating from the heat! Yep it was real! We then relaxed by the pool ( it was free today to lay by the pool, how generous this hotel can be! Ha) and got some overpriced hotel beverages and splashed around! Tonight will be dinner n more beverages and definitely some people watching!
